The Symposium will take place in Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipeda, and Šiauliai.

Call for Papers - About the Symposium

Travel arrangements

Symposium participants may present their papers in Lithuanian or in English. Presenters from foreign countries who are under the age of 35 will be treated to free bed and breakfast and some reimbursement of travel expenses.

Papers presented at the Symposium may be on various topics connected in some way to Lithuania or Lithuanians, including by the presenter being of Lithuanian heritage.

There will be sessions of academic-level papers and also discussions of interest to the general public, analyses about Lithuania after 1990, of Lithuania's competitiveness in the global marketplace, of the role of the diaspora in the life of the Lithuania, and much more.

The Symposium will also feature cultural programs, happenings, trips, and pleasant informal gatherings.
