Elections May 13/14 and May 20/21

The election of the XVI National Council of the LAC, Inc. will take place on the weekends of May 13/14 and May 20/21 in LAC Chapters throughout the United States.

The members of the National Election Committee are:

    Angele Karniene - Vice Prezident and Secretary
    Loreta Kyniene - Treasurer
    Liutaveras Siemaska - Member

All Lithuanians living in the United States over 18 years of age, that are registered in a LAC chapter have the right to vote and to be nominated as candidates to the National Council from the LAC region in which the LAC chapter is located.

In October, 1999, the by-laws of the LAC, Inc. were amended so that spouses
of LAC members, who are not Lithuanian by descent, are entitled to full rights of LAC membership if they so request, including the right to vote and be nominated to positions of LAC leadership.
